What Should I Ask During
My College Visits?

Before visiting a school or meeting with an admissions representative, READ THEIR LITERATURE and make a list of issues that are important to YOU.
Some questions could include:

  • How many students are in a typical freshman classroom?
  • Do you offer any direct loans or grants? If so, how do I apply for them?
  • What are your Application and Financial Aid deadlines?
  • Can I switch majors and if so, when do I have to make a final decision on my major?
  • As a potential _________ major, what courses will I be taking in my first two years?
  • Have the courses I've taken in high school been appropriate for the major I am considering?
  • Can I meet with faculty & students and/or spend an overnight on campus?
